MARCIN PATECKI, PhD
Lead Physics & Data Scientist

Dr Patecki is a physicist and data scientist with extensive experience in nuclear and accelerator physics, space radiation environments, and advanced data analytics. He has worked at leading international research institutions including CERN and the Virgo gravitational wave experiment, and has held prestigious research fellowships such as the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship. Marcin earned his PhD in physics from the Warsaw University of Technology, where he continues to collaborate on high-energy physics projects, including upgrades to the Large Hadron Collider. At SigmaLabs, Marcin leads the development of next-generation radiation monitoring systems for space applications. His role covers the full spectrum from characterizing radiation at low Earth orbits, to optimizing detector materials and geometries, to ensuring robust data acquisition, processing, and interpretation. He combines deep scientific expertise with strong engineering and analytical skills to drive innovation at the intersection of space technology and data science.
